This was the start of this year, I'd spent yet another morning trying to call Barclays, got caught in it's endless and frankly soul destroying phone system. That's more than likely desgined to put you off calling them.... I'd been disconnected 2 twice, once sent to the wrong section dealing with complaints who pointed out that while they're called Barclays they are infact not Barclays.... Go figure on that for a while.... Anyway after wasting a morning and getting really angry. I considered starting this blog..... a few days later and I'm going to post the phonecalls later once I've worked out how to do that....
I had a call from a I sort recognised s being a Barclays Bank number, so after a little who are you and what do you want. It came to light that Mr. Hassan was from the Barlcays Bank and wanted to check if I'd been able to reach the complaints team.... No don't get me wrong this came as a total shock to, as In the 10+ years of bringing my complaint to their attention I have never had a call back and more importantly I've never once been given the full name of the person I was dealing with....
I went on to explain that yet again I'd been given the run around and that in my opinion his employers where more than likely doing this to cause a level of attrition in complaints cos they complainant will sooner or later learn that making a complaint was in fact a waste of time.... He asked me how did the complaint start and how long had it been going on....
So once again I went to the whole process, back in 2009 I had a near fatal accident, during the legal process to get compensation, I was auditted and I was told in no uncertain terms. The mortgage I had was misold in some way shape of form as it was simply impossible for me to have it. I went on to explain I borught this information to the banks attention, I also explained about my accident. Which I was still coming to terms with and the Bank hearing this closed my accounts, siezed all my money and stopped us from being able to operate as a business, as people and made it impossible to live....
Mr Hassan was taken somewhat back by this information and he said something which to this day still rings in my ears, "I'm sorry to hear this, I can't reach the right person in that department. Can you leave this with me and I'll ring you back!" the total call was around 45 minutes and I'll continue this post later cos stuff that to happen which was more astounding....
